Student must be accepted into a college, university or institution of higher learning and must provide a letter of acceptance.
Student must have a GPA of 75% or above.
Student must provide a two-page essay on why they want to further their education and why the Kevin L. Bowser Scholarship Fund should make an award to them.
Financial need may be taken into consideration.

Who is the Philadelphia Foundation?

What happens to my contributions once it is sent to The Philadelphia Foundation?

The purpose of the Fund is to provide funds for scholarships to graduating seniors at Bartram High School who have been accepted into a college or university or institution of higher learning.

The Fund is an endowed fund which only spends a percentage of the contributions per year. For example, 5% of the average quarterly value of the Fund as calculated over several quarters is used for the scholarship awards, which allows for the Fund to grow over several lifetimes. As the Fund increases, so does the amount of scholarships awarded. The Foundation's administrative fee is 1%.
